Job summary

The Fountains at Hosanna! in Lakeville, MN, part of Ebenezer, is seeking a friendly Culinary Assistant to provide dining room and to-go meal service to residents. The role supports resident meals, dietary needs, and a welcoming dining environment.

Hours are part-time, 12 hours every two weeks, 4:00pm–7:00pm, with a rotating block schedule. Ideal candidates have HS diploma and up to 1 year of experience in a senior living setting. Ebenezer offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Overview

The Fountains at Hosanna! is conveniently located in Lakeville, adjacent to Hosanna Church. We are less than a mile from Highway I-35 and near County 77. The Fountains offers seniors 92 Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care apartments. We are known for our exceptional staff, who create a warm, friendly, fun community.

Culinary Assistant is responsible for dining room and to go meal service to residents.

Schedule includes;

• 12 hours every two weeks ; Part Time
• 4:00pm-7:00pm Shift
• Block Schedule:
  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday
  • Week 2: No Shifts

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
  • Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
  • Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
  • Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
  • Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
  • Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
  • Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
  • Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
  • Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
  • Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
  • Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
  • Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
