Job summary

The InterContinental Hotels Group Guam offers a local-hire, three-year apprenticeship in hotel kitchen operations. Trainees will attend classroom lectures at Guam Community College or equivalent credits and work about 34 hours per week at the hotel. Participants must be 18 or older with a high school diploma, be a Guam resident for at least three years, and be a U.S.

citizen or permanent resident. GCC Culinary students are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old and have a High School Diploma.
• Bona fide resident of Guam for at least three years.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien.
• Three-year apprenticeship under the Guam GRAP program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to standard recipes and portion control.
• Maintain teamwork and effective communication with managers and other departments.
• Follow safety, security procedures, and report hazards or incidents.
• Move up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs and ladders as required.
