At the Center for Black Excellence, we believe in and enable every Black child to thrive. Through our 3rd‑grade High‑Dosage Tutoring Program, our goal is to connect students to 8,000 hours of out‑of‑school enrichment by the end of eighth grade through our E.T.H.O.S.(Eight Thousand Hours of Out‑of‑School) Enrichment Initiative. As a Reading Tutor, you will work directly with elementary‑aged children to strengthen literacy skills, promote confidence, and foster positive learning experiences. This position lets you make a meaningful impact in the community while building professional skills in communication, leadership, and mentoring. Experience gained in this role is valuable preparation for careers in education, social services, or any field that values teamwork and problem‑solving.
Preferred availability: 3 Days a week, Hybrid Model (On‑site: Mondays & Wednesdays) (Virtual: Fridays & PPS No School Days) Time: 2:30 pm‑3:30 pm (Mondays & Wednesdays) 3:30pm‑4:30pm (Fridays Student must be able to work between 6‑9 hours per week Transportation to and from King Elementary is provided
