Lewis & Clark College’s Data Science Center seeks a Data Café Tutor to provide free, drop-in support for R coding and related data-science concepts to students. Tutors help learners build confidence and connect course ideas to practical data analysis.
You will help students troubleshoot code, foster independent learning, and contribute to a welcoming Data Café environment in Watzek Library. This part-time student position aligns with Work‑Study opportunities where applicable.

The Data Café Tutor provides free, drop‑in peer tutoring in R coding and related data‑science skills for Lewis & Clark students. Tutors help students build confidence and independence in using coding, troubleshoot coding problems, and connect course concepts to practical data analysis. The Data Café is located in the Data Science Center in Watzek Library.
$16.80 / hour
Ability to honor and work effectively with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the United States and/or at Lewis & Clark College.
Anticipated hours: approximately 3 hours per week. Some flexibility may be available based on program needs and tutor availability.
Work‑study is not required.
