Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead ITG’s Technology Infrastructure, Design and Engineering division. This executive role shapes the technology vision, sets standards, and ensures secure, reliable operations across networks, compute and storage, data centers, and collaboration tools.

The CTO will guide enterprise architecture, vendor relationships, budgeting, and risk management while supporting OHSU’s clinical, research, and academic missions.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s in IT or related field.
• 8+ years in progressive IT management roles.
• 3+ years in senior tech leadership with budgeting/financial reporting.
• Experience evaluating business requirements and governance considerations.
• Experience leading IT strategy, programs, and complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Define robust, scalable technology architecture aligned with enterprise goals.
• Set IT standards and ensure adoption across the division.
• Oversee delivery and reliability of core technology services and networks.
• Lead capacity planning and identify infrastructure risks and solutions.
• Establish performance metrics for strategic decision making.
• Manage operating and capital budgets and vendor relationships.
