Job summary

Bloomy is seeking a hands-on Chief Technology Officer to own technology and build a small engineering team. You will work with the founder to shape product direction, make critical technical decisions, and ship software that supports teachers and students in K-12 classrooms.

You will lead architecture, AI workflows, and production quality while delivering scalable, reliable infrastructure across the stack. Equity will be offered as part of compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping full-stack software at scale.
• Proven ability to own technical decisions for a product and team.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and production LLMs.
• Ability to lead engineers, hire, mentor, and set standards.
• Strong product judgment and focus on education usability.

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction, architecture, and platform roadmap.
• Lead product development across student experience, teacher tools, assessments, and curriculum.
• Improve AI engineering workflows and tooling.
• Build data infrastructure to measure learning impact.
• Ensure reliability, security, and school-device compatibility.
• Recruit and lead a growing engineering team; align with users and classrooms.
