Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible intensivists seeking to practice and lead as cardiothoracic intensivists.

Responsibilities

• Fellows will spend several months in a 28-bed CTICU, gaining in-depth knowledge of cardiothoracic pathology and management.
• Graduated autonomy in rounding and patient management with ECMO consults and team calls.
• Direct supervision of residents and fellows, including night-time management of CTICU patients.
• CTICU exposure includes cannulation, troubleshooting, and support for acute events.
• Attain exposure to ECMO, Impella, and other temporary mechanical circulatory support.
