UPMC Southwestern PA offers a one-year, non-ACGME fellowship in cardiothoracic critical care for board-certified or board-eligible intensivists. The program prepares leaders in the CTICU with exposure to advanced management of post-cardiotomy patients, ECMO, and complex cardiothoracic care in a high-acuity environment.

Responsabilités

• CTICU fellows will spend substantial time in a 28-bed CTICU, gaining in-depth knowledge of cardiothoracic critical care pathology, management, and technology.
• Clinical time includes ~22 weeks of daytime rounding with graduated autonomy and ECMO/tandem calls, plus ~36-night shifts managing CTICU patients and ECMO-related duties.
