Job summary

The Montgomery County Board of Education is seeking a Career Preparedness Teacher to develop a robust career prep program and a classroom environment that supports learning and personal growth. You will establish rapport with students, motivate them to build essential skills, utilize technology, and analyze data to guide instruction, while maintaining strong relationships with families and staff.

Salary is prorated based on contract days remaining in the school year, and employment is subject to

• Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good educational foundation
• Utilize technology to motivate students and prepare students for the 21st century
• Analyze different data sources in making data-driven decisions for instruction
• Support the use of technology to motivate and prepare students for the 21st century
• Establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the principal

The person selected for this position must agree to a background check, be fingerprinted, and pay a $46.20 fee. This is required by law.

SPECIAL NOTE:

For employees starting work after the beginning date of the work term, the salary will be pro-rated and based on the number of contract days left in the school year, divided by the remaining months in the contract year.
