Job summary

The Iowa Department of Education is seeking an Education Program Consultant to support and strengthen Career and Technical Education programs. The role emphasizes working with educators to connect classroom learning with practical skills across engineering, manufacturing, architecture and construction, or transportation.

You will provide technical assistance, develop programs, and coordinate statewide efforts, often traveling to schools and colleges to enable meaningful student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with educators to strengthen applied science instruction and CTE programming.
• Provide leadership on CTE programming, administration, budgets, finance, and accountability.
• Coordinate with K–12 schools and community colleges to develop and improve CTE programs, services, and activities.
• Support grant administration: assist with applications and review expenditures for compliance.
• Translate technical/regulatory information into practical guidance for educators and administrators.
