Job summary

Academy for Urban Scholars is seeking a Coordinator of Career Technical Education to plan, coordinate, and implement CTE programs across its high school campuses. You will provide leadership in curriculum development and ensure the curriculum meets state approved CTE standards.

Qualifications

• Leadership and project management experience in education.
• Experience developing and maintaining CTE curriculum to meet standards.
• Ability to hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver CTE programs across Academy for Urban Scholars campuses.
• Lead curriculum development to meet state CTE standards.
• Develop and manage the Academy for Urban Scholars CTE budget and grants documentation.
• Provide leadership for CTE staff to develop new programs and complete state reviews.
• Coordinate preparation, documentation and delivery of grants, forms and reports as required by state/federal agencies.
• Supervise, evaluate, and coordinate work for staff in the assigned area.
• Establish staff work timeliness and communicate project status with leadership.
• Design and implement in-service training for CTE teachers and administrators.
• Work with Technology Coordinator to integrate instructional tech and software.
• Design and implement dual credit agreements with postsecondary schools for CTE programs.
• Serve as liaison between business/industry and CTE programs.
• Coordinate work-based learning for CTE students.
• Participate in board meetings and special assignments as requested by the superintendent.
