Job summary

The School District of Philadelphia seeks an Industry Development Specialist to lead career and technical education initiatives at the high school level. You will collaborate with schools, teachers and industry partners to design, evaluate and implement programs that expand equity and access to CTE opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Six years of full-time, paid, professional experience in CTE or a related field with program development and industry certification.
• Experience with high school students in an urban school system or related industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CTE programs for fidelity and effectiveness.
• Organize on-site program evaluations and observations.
• Provide technical assistance to CTE programs and schools.
• Develop and implement innovative programs aligned with high-priority occupations.
• Build partnerships with industry, postsecondary and community partners.
• Assist in recruitment activities for CTE programs.
• Administer budget allocations and procurement processes.
• Serve as champion for the industry area and staff development.
