Job summary

The Manchester School District is seeking a Career Development Specialist to develop, manage, and implement opportunities for student post-secondary plans under the CTE Director. The role focuses on creating career pathways, work-based learning, and college readiness through events and partnerships.

Responsibilities include coordinating recruiting events, liaison duties with administrators, businesses, and families, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws.

• Ability to communicate with diverse groups and maintain FERPA confidentiality.
• Strong oral and written communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to promote and coordinate college readiness activities and career pathways.
• Experience recruiting students to new educational experiences and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Develop, oversee, and administer career pathways and work-based learning opportunities for students.
• Collect and analyze student data to monitor program progress and needs.
• Plan and coordinate recruiting events for CTE programs across middle and high school levels.
• Serve as liaison between school admins, faculty, students, parents/guardians, and community partners.
• Develop community and post-secondary partnerships with local businesses and colleges.
• Organize and implement formal co-op and internship opportunities, including trainings and employer matching.
• Coordinate referrals for internships and ELOs and monitor students in work-based learning.
