Job summary

The School District of Philadelphia seeks an Industry Development Specialist to lead and align Career and Technical Education across high schools. You will guide CTE program delivery, oversee budgets, and build partnerships with industry, postsecondary, and community groups.

You will evaluate programs, support teachers, and help recruit students into CTE pathways, ensuring equity and access across the District.

Qualifications

• Six years of full-time, paid, professional experience in CTE or related field with program development.
• Experience with high school programs or urban school systems.
• Experience in program development and industry certification.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Monitors CTE programs to ensure implementation fidelity.
• Conducts on-site CTE program evaluations/observations.
• Provides technical assistance to CTE programs in schools.
• Plans and implements programs aligned with high-priority occupations.
• Analyses labor market trends to guide program development.
• Develops partnerships with business, postsecondary, and community partners.
• Participates in committees to evaluate and improve programs.
• Assists with recruitment activities for CTE programs.
• Supports teachers with professional development and OCA/PIP processes.
