Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required.
• ARRT registration with CT training or certification required within one year of hire.
• VA state license required for outpatient facilities.
• CPR certification required by AHA.
• 6 months related experience; 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiology and CT exams; verify orders and patient identity.
• Perform radiology/CT procedures across age groups with safety and accuracy.
• Maintain imaging quality and present images with reports to Radiologist.
• Support patient transport when needed and ensure safe environment.
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and inventory management.
• Document data for billing and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Train and supervise students; support Mary Washington School of Radiologic Technology.

Education

Two-year Radiologic Technology program/comparable

ARRT Radiologic Technology registration

CT certification (Advanced level ARRT/NMTCB)

VA State Radiologic Technologist License (outpatient)

American Heart Association CPR

6 months relevant experience (3 years preferred)
