The role requires strong patient communication, precise image quality, and adherence to infection control protocols, with ARRT and BLS certifications. ER setting experience is preferred, and multi-modality skills are valued for cross-training opportunities.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in each modality preferred.
• One year of ER hospital experience preferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college.
• ARRT and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT and X-ray equipment to obtain detailed diagnostic images.
• Position patients accurately for scans to target specific areas.
• Perform regular warm-up procedures on the CT scanner.
• Sterilize and maintain radiologic equipment to ensure safety.
• Interpret and follow the physician's scanning instructions precisely.
• Administer radiocontrast agents as needed to enhance imaging quality.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage as required.
• Maintain radiologic supply inventory and report shortages.
