Job summary

East Valley ER is seeking a CT/X-ray Technician to operate CT scanning equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images. You will position patients, maintain the CT scanner, and ensure strict hygiene and infection control protocols are followed.

You will monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions to contrast agents and communicate clearly to ensure comfort and safety throughout the scanning process.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school, with one year of related experience and training.
• ARRT and BLS certifications required; cross-modality certification preferred for multi-modality technologists.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanning equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Position patients accurately for scans.
• Maintain CT scanner and sterilize equipment.
• Administer radiocontrast agents as needed.
• Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions.
• Ensure infection control and hygiene protocols.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures and provide reassurance.
