Computed Tomography Technologist Weekend Option

The Computed Tomography Technologist Weekend Option is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during CT procedures using approved workflows and protocols. Working under supervision, this role utilizes specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images that assist radiologists in diagnosing various diseases and disorders. The position includes a weekend option, requiring staff to meet WEO requirements and work two shifts within the WEO window for a premium rate.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operate head or body CT scanners to create computer-generated cross-sectional images.
2. Perform routine and specialized CT exams following established protocols to minimize additional imaging and radiation dose, maintaining productivity benchmarks.
3. Complete exams and documentation accurately in the Computerized Health Information system (CHL) and PACS, ensuring proper charge identification and error resolution for smooth workflow.
4. Educate and prepare patients for examinations to improve understanding, cooperation, and patient experience.
5. Adhere to safe practices, Just Culture, and ALARA principles to prevent errors and improve patient outcomes.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program

Experience and Certification

• Licenses accepted include ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT); NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT); or combinations thereof.
• CPR certification from the American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
