Job description

Computed Tomography Technologist Weekend Option

The Computed Tomography Technologist Weekend Option is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during CT procedures using approved workflows and protocols. Working under supervision, this role involves operating specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images that assist radiologists in diagnosing various diseases and disorders. This position offers a weekend option, requiring staff to commit to WEO requirements and work two shifts within the WEO window for a premium rate.

Talent Pool: Allied Health

1. Operates head or body x-ray scanners to create CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) scans.
2. Performs routine and specialized CT exams following protocols to minimize additional imaging and radiation dose, maintaining productivity benchmarks.
3. Completes exams and documentation in CHL and PACS, accurately identifying charges and resolving errors for seamless workflow.
4. Educates and prepares patients to enhance understanding, cooperation, and experience during testing.
5. Demonstrates commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and ALARA principles to improve patient outcomes.
6. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program

Experience and Licensure

• Acceptable licenses include ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT); NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT); or a combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT), ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT), ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT).
• BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
