Job description

Diagonostic Rad and CT Technologist WEO

The Diag Rad and CT Technologist WEO is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using approved workflows and protocols. Working under supervision, this role utilizes specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images that assist radiologists in diagnosing various diseases and disorders. The position offers a weekend option, requiring staff to work two shifts within the WEO window for a premium rate.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operate head or body x-ray scanners to create computer-generated cross-sectional images (CAT scans).
2. Perform routine and specialized CT exams following established protocols to minimize radiation exposure and optimize workflow.
3. Complete exams and documentation accurately in CHL and PACS systems, including proper charge identification and error correction.
4. Educate and prepare patients for examinations to improve understanding and cooperation, enhancing patient experience.
5. Adhere to safe practices, Just Culture principles, and ALARA guidelines to ensure patient safety and reduce errors.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related program

Experience and Licensure

• Licenses accepted include ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT); NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT); or a combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT), ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT), ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT).
• BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
