Computed Tomography Technologist Weekend Option

The Computed Tomography Technologist Weekend Option is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during CT procedures using approved workflows and protocols. Working under supervision, this role utilizes specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human body, aiding radiologists in diagnosis.

This position includes a weekend option, requiring staff to commit to WEO requirements and work two shifts within the WEO window for a premium rate.

Talent Pool: Allied Health

1. Operates head or body x-ray scanners to create computer-generated cross-sectional images (CAT scans).
2. Performs routine and special CT exams, adhering to protocols to minimize additional imaging and radiation dose, maintaining productivity benchmarks.
3. Completes exams and documentation in CHL and PACS, accurately identifying charges and addressing errors to ensure workflow efficiency.
4. Educates and prepares patients for examinations to enhance understanding and cooperation, promoting a positive experience.
5. Demonstrates commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and ALARA principles to improve patient outcomes.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program

Experience

Licensure/Certification/Registry/List

• Required: Licenses such as ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT); NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT); or a combination thereof.
• CPR certification (BLS) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
