Radiologic Technologist Weekend Option

The Radiologic Technologist Weekend Option performs medical exams using X-rays or other diagnostic imaging techniques on patients to create images of specific parts of the body. The images are then interpreted by a physician for diagnosis and disease monitoring. Working under direct supervision, this role involves preparing patients for exams, positioning patients correctly, operating imaging equipment, and minimizing radiation exposure to patients.

This position offers a weekend option, requiring staff to commit to WEO requirements and work two shifts within the WEO window for a premium rate.

Responsibilities:

1. Follow physician instructions regarding the imaging area.
2. Communicate with patients to explain procedures and reduce anxiety.
3. Position patients and adjust equipment to produce quality images.
4. Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff.
5. Follow proper techniques, including patient shielding, to ensure accurate and reliable imaging.
6. Complete documentation for each procedure for proper records and communication.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Not specified
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT (R); Radiologic Technologist - DxBLS (CPR) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
