Job summary

Mercy One in Des Moines is seeking a CT Technologist for the Evening Shift. No prior CT experience is required as comprehensive training is provided to help you excel with state-of-the-art imaging equipment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• CT experience preferred with CT credential (ARRT or NMTCB) preferred.
• Maintains active radiology registry status.
• Maintains current state Permit to Practice Radiology Technologist License.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) qualification.

Responsibilities

• Efficient interpretation of clinical information and radiology needs for patients.
• Thorough and accurate imaging technique with proper patient positioning.
• Monitor radiation exposure time and activity with safety in mind.
• Apply sterile techniques and safety practices for patients and teammates.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid failures.
