Mercy One in Waterloo, IA is seeking a part-time CT Technologist to join our radiology team. No prior CT experience? We provide comprehensive training to help you excel while you grow your skills with state-of-the-art technology.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant credentials as defined below.
• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program (ARRT or NMTCB).
• Previous CT experience preferred. CT credential (ARRT or NMTCB) preferred.
• Maintains active registry status.
• Maintains current state of employment permit to practice radiology technologist license.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Maintains Basic Life Support qualification.

Responsibilities

• Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients.
• Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order.
• Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity.
• Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
