Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia to deliver high-quality imaging and a compassionate patient experience. You will work on CT procedures, ensure accuracy, and collaborate with the radiology team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, a radiologic technology program, and at least 1 year of radiology experience, with BLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT-R certification required
• ARRT-CT certification required
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines, capturing quality diagnostic images
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards
• Maintain clean, disinfected rooms and report equipment issues
• Check orders, verify patient identifiers, and assess clinical history
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout visits
• Administer contrast as protocol and practice sterile venipuncture when needed
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding and immobilization
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies as required
• Support department workflow, restock and organize areas

BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
