Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks a CT Technologist to join the imaging team at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This 0.9 FTE (72 hours per two weeks) position includes weekend coverage as needed and a prorated sign-on bonus based on experience.

The CT Technologist will independently perform high-quality diagnostic CT imaging, ensure age-appropriate patient care, and collaborate with the health care team in accordance with ARRT requirements and facility policies.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiology Tech Current Registration
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
• 1 year or more years of experience in a related role
• Additional certifications in Imaging
• ARRT CT certification or completion within 18 months within 1-1/2 Yrs

Responsibilities

• Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Performs individualized, compassionate patient care
• Performs high quality examinations
• Identifies relevant data from images accurately
• Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
• Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
• Verify patient identification and documentation
• Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
• Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
• Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
