Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a CT Technologist to join the imaging team at Riverside University Hospital, Minneapolis, MN. This 1.0 FTE role offers a night shift, Monday–Friday 11 PM–7 AM with weekends as needed, and a sign-on bonus prorated by experience.

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT imaging, prioritizes patient safety, and collaborates with the care team to deliver high-quality results in accordance with ARRT guidelines and institutional policy.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiology Tech Current Registration is required.
• Basic Life Support certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).

• Maintains and prioritizes workflow to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Provides compassionate, high-quality imaging and patient care.
• Delivers high-quality CT examinations.
• Identifies data from images accurately and communicates with care team.

Job Overview

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team at our Riverside University Hospital in Minneapolis, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work Monday through Friday from 11PM - 7AM with weekends as needed.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience.

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Responsibilities

• Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Performs individualized, compassionate patient care
• Performs high quality examinations
• Identifies relevant data from images accurately
• Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
• Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
• Verify patient identification and documentation
• Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
• Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
• Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
• Ensures patient data integrity
• Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/proceduresL
• Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes

Required Qualifications

• ARRT Radiology Tech Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more years of experience in a related role
• Previous ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Additional certifications in Imaging
• ARRT CT certification or successful completion within 18 months within 1-1/2 Yrs
