Job summary

UPMC Community General is seeking a CT Technologist to support the CT Department. This role advances from Diagnostic Technologist through our CT Career Ladder with on-the-job training.

You will perform CT procedures, manage contrast administration and image documentation while providing patient care and teamwork within the radiology team. ARRT certification and CT registry timelines apply; a strong commitment to quality and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or CNMT program.
• ARRT registry eligible; must obtain ARRT registry within 6 months of hire.
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of date primary registry was acquired or hire date.
• CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire.
• New York facility requirements may apply for specific sites and licensure as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures using established protocols and contrast administration.
• Operates imaging equipment and documents data according to protocol.
• Ensures exams are properly coded and archived in RIS/ISITE.
• Administers IV/rectal/PO contrast per orders and assesses risk.
• Communicates procedures clearly to patients and ensures cooperation.
• Maintains patient safety and adheres to universal protocol.
