Job summary

UPMC Hanover is seeking a CT Technologist to support the CT Scan Department. The ideal candidate has 2 years of CT experience or 1 year of radiology imaging experience and is strong in cross-training. The role is full-time with a Fri-Sun, 7a-7p schedule and includes rotating on-call and holidays.

Sign-on bonus of $20,000 and a monthly loan repayment program up to $9,000 are available for eligible new hires. Placement within the career ladder will reflect education and experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists in QA, regulatory testing and other technical initiatives.
• Assists with training staff and student technologists.
• Monitors quality control activities and applies up-to-date imaging protocols.
• Demonstrates competency with specialty equipment and analyzes data promptly.
• Participates in system-level standardization with cross-facility groups.
• Covers shifts and on-call responsibilities; works at satellite facilities as needed.
• Collaborates with Radiologists on protocol development.

Employment Type:Full-Time

Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7a-7p. Rotating on-call and holidays are required

UPMC’s new Monthly Loan Repayment Program, exclusively for December 2023 or later graduates, offers up to $9,000 in loan repayment paid over three years!

Candidates will be placed in the correct job title/salary grade within career ladder based on education and experience.

Purpose: Performs imaging procedures at an advanced level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of advanced technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives.
• Assist with the training of staff and student technologists.
• Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates advanced level of knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging by providing patient care as defined by the most up to day protocols and procedures.
• Demonstrates competency of specialty equipment (i.e. 3D recon, cardiac scanning, etc.) and analyzes data promptly.
• Participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups.
• Demonstrates the ability to function independently, and is able to cover off shifts, on-call responsibilities, and perform services at satellite facilities, where applicable, while continually communicating with lead and management team.
• Performs all job responsibilities of CT Tech I.
• Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development.
