Job summary

UPMC Jameson is seeking a CT Technologist to join the Imaging team. The role involves rotating day and afternoon shifts with possible evenings and midnights, and rotating weekends/holidays. No travel is required; the work is primarily on-site in Delaware.

Responsibilities

• Performs computed tomography procedures using established protocols and contrast administration without constant supervision.
• Operates imaging equipment to acquire, reconstruct and document image data per protocol.
• Codes and tracks exams in RIS and ensures ISITE archiving and interpretation linkage.
• Administers PO, rectal and IV contrast per orders; assesses risk before contrast administration.
• Explains procedures clearly to patients and addresses fears to gain cooperation.
• Adjusts protocols with independent judgement for diagnostic CT purposes.
• Collaborates with patients, co-workers and other departments to expedite care.
• Identifies patients with two identifiers and follows universal protocol; documents history.
