Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography procedures and support interventional imaging, ensuring patient safety and protocol adherence. The role requires ARRT or NMTCB certification and a Radiologic Technology specialty program, with a preferred bachelor’s degree in a related field.

New graduates must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB certification prior to starting, and ongoing advanced certification steps must be completed within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB certification required at hire.
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required).
• Bachelor’s in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and administer ionizing radiation safely.
• Validate patient identity, history, and exam details with confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols and optimize factors per ALARA principles.
• Prepare and document medications related to procedures.
• Assess image quality and ensure data transfer/archiving integrity.
• Educate and mentor students and staff as needed.
• Assist licensed practitioner in interventional CT procedures.
