Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional CT procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to ALARA. You will acquire and analyze data for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

The role requires at least two years of experience, ARRT-CT and CNMT certifications, and a Specialty Radiologic Technology program diploma. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities in a collaborative imaging team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience required.
• Certification: ARRT-CT; CNMT; BLS; ARRT or NMTCB/ARRT-CT required.
• Licensed/certified CT technologist status per ARRT/NMTCB.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order is obtained, patient identification and preparation with documented history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilizes imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while applying ALARA principles for patient safety.
• Preparing and/or administering medications via vascular access site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for correct positioning/quality and manages archival storage/ data transfer.
• Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
• Assists licensed practitioner with interventional CT procedures.
• Performs CT procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
