Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a CT Technologist to perform radiologic and CT exams. The role includes preparing patients, verifying orders, administering contrast, and collaborating with Radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging.

Requires ARRT radiology or NMTCB in nuclear medicine, ARRT CT registry within one year, and BLS. A $15,000 sign-on bonus (up to $10,000 for new grads) is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within one year of hire required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders; refer and question orders to Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and prepare them with full explanations of procedures.
• Review patient EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history and correlate with exam results.
• Assume responsibility for the exam from start to final dictated results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol and document contrast type and amount.
