Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a CT Radiology Technologist to perform CT scans, manage patient care, and coordinate with Radiologists. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and efficient imaging workflows.

Qualifications include ARRT/NMTCB certification and BLS; occasional shift rotations and emergency support are required. This full-time position offers a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or NMTCB program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT within one year of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each patient and refers discrepancies to Radiologist.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and prepare them with explanations of procedures.
• Interview patients for medical history and review EMR for relevant history.
• Assumes responsibility for exam from start to finish and documents results.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast per protocol and records details.
• Evaluates image quality and consults Radiologist; performs additional imaging if needed.
• Performs basic patient care and assists nursing during emergencies and codes.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures with sterile technique.
• Maintains radiation safety standards and reports equipment issues promptly.
• Rotates shifts, including call backs, holidays, weekends; adheres to attendance policy.
• Operates radiology computer system, enters orders and charges, documents contrast administration.
• Maintains neat work area and supports other staff during exams.
