Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform prescribed imaging procedures with minimal supervision. The role requires independent judgment and initiative, ensuring high-quality images after positioning and technique adjustments.

The candidate should have an associate degree or equivalent and ARRT or NMTCB certification. Prior CT experience is a plus, and compliance with HIPAA and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience.
• ARRT Registered (RT) in radiography or NMTCB registered (CNMT) is required at time of hire.
• Preferred CT Technologist experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures independently, analyze results and resolve image quality issues.
• Review patient history and orders; educate patient about procedures and equipment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or meds when ordered; monitor patient status.
• Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, implement safety standards and perform QC on equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
