Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging procedures with independent judgment. The role includes patient education, contrast administration when ordered, and equipment QC to maintain image quality.

The position requires an Associate degree or equivalent, ARRT (RT) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification, CT certification within 18 months, and CPR. A sign-on bonus of $30,000 is offered with a 3-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate degree; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
• ARRT Registered (RT) in radiography (R) or NMTCB registered (CNMT) required at time of hire.
• CT certification within 18 months of hire or transfer (required).
• CPR certification per American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures independently, analyze results and resolve image quality issues.
• Review patient history and orders; educate patient about procedures and equipment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; monitor patient condition.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; set exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensure safety and perform QC.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
