Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at our Georgia facilities. You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, a radiologic technology education, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. Expect shift-based hours including evenings and weekends with competitive hourly pay and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol; use venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and rework if needed; release patients appropriately.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and maintain crash cart availability.
• Organize daily workflows and collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Support operations, keep areas stocked, and escalate issues to supervisor.
