Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality CT imaging and provide a supportive patient experience. You will work with a collaborative care team to ensure safety and diagnostic accuracy in a busy radiology department.

The role requires ARRT radiography and CT certifications, 1 year of radiology experience, and BLS. You will operate imaging equipment, follow ALARA principles, and participate in patient-centered care with a focus on infection control and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Prepare, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address patient questions and anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat/correct as needed.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
