Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient support. You will join a collaborative radiology team, performing CT exams with a focus on diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.

The role emphasizes compassion, professional growth, and a positive patient experience. Requirements include a Radiologic Technology degree, ARRT credentials (Radiography and CT), BLS, and at least 1 year in radiology.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography)
• Certifications: ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images
• Operate imaging equipment safely and consistently minimize patient dose (ALARA)
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers before exams
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits
• Administer contrast per protocol and use proper venipuncture/sterile technique
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and rework as needed
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment
• Organize daily workflows; support department flow and TEC collaboration
• Assist with regulatory compliance and report issues to supervisor
