Job summary

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, 1 year of radiology experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. The incumbent will perform CT procedures, manage equipment, and ensure accurate documentation while upholding ALARA principles.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT, BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging and radiographic equipment safely, using techniques that minimize dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and ensure studies are finalized in RIS/PACS.
