Allegheny Health Network in Wexford, PA is seeking an inpatient CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with independence while collaborating with physicians and the care team.

The role includes mentoring staff, participating in QA and accreditation prep, standardization initiatives, and keeping CT protocols current. It also covers chief tech duties as assigned and requires ARRT/NMTCB credentials with 2+ years of CT experience.

Competenze

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical program.
• CNMT and CT certification (NMTCB) or ARRT RT radiography and CT certification.
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience.
• CPR certification and required background clearances.

Mansioni

• Performs inpatient CT imaging per established protocols with patient, physician and team interaction.
• Acts as day-to-day mentor for staff and trains new staff and students.
• Engages in QA activities, regulatory testing and accreditation prep/documentation.

Job Description

Sign on Bonus Eligible $30,000 (3 year commitment)

General Overview This job provides supervision of staff and area functions as well as may serve as a physician liaison. Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Performs prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative.

Essential Responsibilities

• Performs all essential job responsibilities of an inpatient CT Technologist, including but not limited to performing age-specific diagnostic imaging per established protocols. Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, physicians and other team members. Addresses patient and physician concerns. Responds to adverse events and/or any changes with patient's status. (40%)
• Acts as a day –to- day mentor/resource for staff and others within the department. Orients and trains new staff and students. (20%)
• Performs and/or trains others relative to quality assurance activities, quality control, and regulatory testing and accreditation preparation/documentation. (10%)
• Participates in standardization activities and process improvement initiatives with system-level workgroups (10%)
• Demonstrates proficiency in the performance of specialty exams and analyzes data promptly to resolve problems and improve efficiency. Enter new or edit existing CT scanner protocols. (10%)
• Coverage of chief tech duties as assigned (10%)
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Associate’s degree; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One of the following sets of certifications is required
  • NMTCB registered (CNMT) and (CT) certification
  • ARRT registered (RT) radiography (R) and computed tomography (CT) certified OR
• 2 years’ of experience as a CT Technologist.
