Job summary

St. David’s Pflugerville FSED, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a CT Technologist PRN to support imaging services in a busy radiology department.

You will perform CT scans, ensure image quality, and maintain safety standards while providing compassionate patient care in a fast-paced setting. The role requires ARRT CT certification with radiologic technologist credentials, BLS, and a commitment to ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.
• Graduate from JRCERT-accredited or AMA-approved radiologic technology program or military equivalent.
• 1–2 years CT experience preferred.
• CMRT certification by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• ARRT (R) with post-primary ARRT (CT) certification within 6 months of hire; grandfathering rules may apply for older hires.
• BLS/CPR certification to be obtained within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed CT (Computed Tomography) procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in CT equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Document findings on film or in writing.
• Relay relevant patient information to physicians.
• Apply radiation safety principles to minimize risk to patient, self and others.
• Participate in rotating call schedule.
• Perform in other areas of the department as needed.

Education

Associate Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology

JRCERT-accredited radiology program or AMA-approved program or military equivalent

Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) – Texas

ARRT (R) certification with ARRT (CT) within 6 months of hire

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start
