Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking a CT Technician for Bastrop FSED PRN. The CT Technologist will perform CT imaging per ARRT standards and hospital policies, ensuring patient safety and image quality.

The role requires radiologic technology education, ARRT certification, and BLS certification, with preferred CT experience and CT-specific continuing education. Join a large healthcare system offering comprehensive radiology services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• CT curriculum covering 3 semester hours of Sectional Anatomy; or 16 hours post graduate CEU's Cross Sectional Anatomy.
• One year experience performing Computed Tomography procedures is preferred.
• Certified or Temporary Certified by Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
• Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT, RTR).
• Post-primary CT certification within 1 year of CT assignment.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures in accordance with ARRT standards and hospital policies and procedures.
• Optimize radiation use by applying Image Gently/Image Wisely concepts.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, patient care and positioning, radiation safety and contrast procedures.
• Maintain professional conduct aligned with ARRT Ethics and St. David's Healthcare values.
