Job summary

Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a CT Technologist PRN to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in a timely, accurate manner under physician orders. The technologist will work with a care team to ensure safe patient delivery and may cross-train into additional modalities as needed.

The role requires an associate degree in radiologic technology, ARRT CT(R) and RT(R) licensure, Texas TMB certification, and BLS/CPR within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Preferred: at least 1 year CT tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures in a timely manner and document required information.
• Coordinate and assist in the care of patients with CT technologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.
• Evaluate patient condition to adequatly perform CT exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and outline expected cooperation.
• Provide comprehensive direct patient care and a safe, comforting environment.
• Consult with staff to meet patient and family needs.
• Ensure clinical equipment and supplies are available and safely used.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
