Job summary

Akumin Inc. is hiring a CT Technologist at our Deltona facility for a PRN role. You will ensure patient safety, perform high quality CT studies and communicate with radiologists.

The position may involve training new technologists and patient coordinators, with duties including pre-screening for radiation contraindications and equipment troubleshooting. The ideal candidate holds ARRT CT registration (or NMTCB in lieu), a state license, CPR certification, and strong customer service and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT Registered CT Technologist; NMTCB acceptable in lieu of ARRT.
• State license; Medical Imaging licensure if applicable.
• CPR certification; valid driver’s license.
• Strong customer service skills; organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high quality CT studies.
• Pre-screen for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Produce diagnostic CT images with technical accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and customers.
• Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).
