Job summary

Akumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services, hiring a CT Technologist for our Pembroke Pines, FL facility in a PRN role. You will ensure patient safety, produce high quality CT images, and communicate with radiologists as needed.

The position requires ARRT CT certification or NMTCB in CT, a state license where applicable, CPR, and a strong focus on customer service and multi-tasking. Pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• ARRT CT certification required or NMTCB CT in lieu.
• State license in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification is required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Background check and drug screen will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT studies with emphasis on patient safety and image quality.
• Pre-screens for contraindications to radiation and contrast.
• Communicates effectively with radiologists and staff.
• Trains new technologists and Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoots scanner and peripheral equipment.
