Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT imaging and deliver a high-quality patient experience. You will work with a collaborative care team to ensure procedures meet safety standards and diagnostic needs.

Responsibilities include acquiring diagnostic CT images, adhering to ALARA principles, documenting studies in RIS/PACS, and maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout the visit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA)
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain/restock crash cart and life-support equipment
• Organize daily workflows to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow
