Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality CT imaging and provide a supportive patient experience. The technologist will join a collaborative care team within Cobb Hospital and contribute to an environment that values well-being and professional growth.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT certification, with a minimum of one year Radiology experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, plus BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and apply ALARA principles.
• Disinfect and prepare rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history; verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety and ensure comfort and privacy.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows and support department operations and compliance.
