Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings, operating CT equipment to produce quality images for diagnosis. Responsibilities include obtaining consent, preparing and explaining procedures to patients (from newborn to geriatric), and collaborating with physicians and staff.

• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Determine suitable positioning and shield patients accordingly.
• Practice aseptic/sterile techniques.
• Work within scope of practice and follow infection control measures.
• Complete documentation accurately after each case.
