Job Responsibilities

• Position and transfer patients safely and efficiently, maintaining patient safety and physical requirements.
• Develop film through automatic processing, utilizing knowledge of equipment.
• Utilize surgical techniques as needed for sterile procedures.
• Assist in equipment calibration and quality control, performing tests timely.
• Administer radiographic contrast as per physician request and departmental policies.
• Evaluate when to consult a radiologist regarding contrast media administration.
• Perform initial IV setup for CT scans, including IV prep, insertion, and positioning, following aseptic techniques.
• Report to the CT Lead Technologist and/or Radiology Manager/Director.
• Follow physical demands and respiratory fit test requirements as applicable.
• Handle exposure to moving tables, film bins, needles, fumes, radiation, contagious patients, and electrical equipment. Work may include irregular hours and overtime.
• Consideration given regardless of protected status, including veteran or disability status.

Qualifications

• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Computed Tomography certification by ARRT required within 12 months of hire.
• Current CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Effective communication skills in English (Verbal/Written).
